The 2006 outdoor season has been great for our high school girls (all Omega players over U-13) we participated in four of the top 20 tournaments in the nation: Orange Classic in Florida, President's Day in Arizona, USA Cup in Minnesota and Texas Cup in Dallas. We also won the Toyota Mag in Kansas City and made it to the semis in the Assurri Cup playing up. One of our players, Frances Silva, was invited in the national cmp in California last August. She is also invited to go with the regional team in a tour in Costa Rica in April. Several of our players earned league and state accolades in 2006. The future looks very bright because after the 2007 High School tryouts: 31% of the girls plaing high school are in varsity, 31% are playing JV, 13% are playing in a sophmore team and 31% are playing on a freshmen's team. One of our goals is to develop players for the top colleges and the US national team. Great coaching, hard work and very committed athletes and parents are key elements who would help us reach our goals. Congratulations to all of you for a very nice season. Remember that it is not where you are now that is the most important thing. You must appreciate where you are, work hard to keep what you have and do the necessary steps to get where you want to be.
