On Monday night the Omega SC adults won 6-4 against a younger squad. With plenty of subs and despite a couple of bad shift changes, we overcame the hot, airless environment. Tied 3-3 at the half, we had the game under control by the end of the third period.  Three goals from Gaspard, two from Manny, and one from Todd put us in a commanding position as we went into the fourth.  The other team just didn't have the energy to win; they threw themselves at our defense, and we made a couple of defensive errors, but in the end we kept our cool. Mike R. made at least one save that was worthy of Gordon Banks; Chuck made some impressive counter-attacks through mid-field; Mike M. did a great job tracking the ball; Arturo took care of their best player; Dan M. played a solid game interrupting them as they tried to organize; Arturo jr. did a nice job of pushing their mid-fielders to the boards; and Sam continues to defend with impressive poise and to make intelligent runs from defense into the attacking zone.

Next game is August 11 at 6:30.  Please contact me directly if you want to play for the Co-ed team starting on August 29.  I still need at least three women and five or six men, plus a goalkeeper!
