JFG was a tournament that challenged the character of our club, for both, parents and players. The conditions were very hard. We had to face wind, cold and mud all together. We did OK because going on Sunday morning, we were the leader of our group in points. Unfortunately, we played our worst game against the lower competition in our group Sunday. We have to learn how to closeout games and we will. In general, we could not play the way we usually play (passing and possession) because of the field condition but at times we did look good. I could say that we made great progression from Springfield in our competitiveness because we could of won every single game by a good margin in Des Moines. The younger girls did very well in general. A Special thank you to Stephanie Krzywania and her dad who drove 28 hours (round trip) to make the tournament. She did very well during the weekend on and off the field and I can see a great forward line in the future with her addition on the Select roster.
