Dear Parents:

In summer 2008 Omega SC ran a Showcase Camp for some of the best High School players in Canada and the USA; this year we are again asking Omega families to host these young student-athletes (some are French-speakers from Quebec!).

The first camp last year was a success. It gave Omega an International profile and opened the horizon of our local student-athletes to new friendships. We hosted athletes from Canada, Missouri, Virginia, Florida, Kansas, New York and Michigan. This year so far, we already received applications from New Jersey and Connecticut. The Camp led to Omega Select's outstanding performance at the Texas Cup (Thanksgiving 2008). For the occasion the Select roster included several of the camp participants. So, it was a lot easier to bond the team together.

This year the Camp is being held on July 6-10, 2009 at Franklin Park, Prairie Village (KS).

Here's a quote from a U-13 girl who helped host someone from New York City last year:

It was great watching Noelle manage soccer practice, good eating habits, and new friendships while staying in touch with her friends and family in New York City...she really is a cool role model (Sara-Jessica Dilks)

This is a great opportunity to help a young athlete follow her soccer dream by making the transition from home to college. It is also an opportunity to get to know a new family who could be your host or contact if you travel into their town. In fact, three Omega players are going to Virginia Beach this summer from the invite of two guests of the last camp.

There will be a 50% discount of the Showcase Camp cost for each family member of a host family participant.

Thank you,

Gaspard Dalexis
